Beginners Cooking Series: Classic Sauces

A great chef is always known for sauces. Sauces add eye appeal, silkiness, and above all, flavor to a dish. This class puts the focus on sauces and brings out the understanding of their creation. We will explore techniques like “reduction”, and “emulsification” as well as use different thickeners to adjust sauce consistency. We will create classic “stock”, and “Mother Sauces” and transform them into contemporary favorites just like the best restaurant chefs do.

Please note: if class doesn’t fill up to a minimum of 4 couples (8 people); class will have to cancel and we will reschedule the class for you.
While we try as hard as possible to accommodate each group of friends, students learn in teams of three or four, so there may be times where a member, or members of your group will join other teams. We promise you won’t be far and it’s also a great way to make new friends.
